Your Microsoft Office 365 is ready to use.

We've transferred over all of your email history and you're ready to go. There are some powerful new features for you to try out, but all the basic stuff is the same as you're used to.

If you haven't already, you may need to sign in to your inbox again to make sure everything's updated.

If you currently use catchalls in Workspace, Microsoft Office 365 doesn't support this functionality, but does have other options.

Subject: Last Chance to Submit Class Placement Input
Reply-To: e-Notify@FCPS.edu

A message from CLEARVIEW ES

Dear Clearview Parents/Guardians,

Each June, Clearview staff members begin working to establish classes for the following school year.  A great deal of thought and effort goes into drafting class groupings. Parents/Guardians who would like to give input about their child's placement should submit the attached form to Kimberly Willison, principal, on or before Friday, May 25, 2018. You may also email Mrs. Willison directly at kswillison@fcps.edu.  Please put "class placement" in the subject line if you choose to send an email.

Submitting this form is not required, but it is an opportunity for you to share your thoughts.  Please be aware that we are not always able to honor parents' wishes because there are many factors that go into determining class groupings.  Requests for a specific teacher should not be submitted and will not be honored.

Please keep in mind that the deadline of Friday, May 25 is a firm deadline.

Sincerely,

Kimberly Willison, Principal

mulch

Dada and I went to Home Depot to get mulch and I LOVED it watering it.

Kira's teeth

Kira just got her fourth tooth yesterday!  Now she has three on the bottom -- the first two came in the end of January, exactly one week apart, and the third bottom tooth came in one week before her baptism -- and now she has her first top tooth.  Top left if you're looking at her!

Oh my goodness!

So, we've learned these past few months that Cole picks up on everything we say!  In February Cole learned two new phrases -- the first one came out when I yelled at him for something (Lord knows what - probably because he didn't want a new diaper on - that's his new thing.  Which is great, except he'll only pee in the toilet, not poop, so he still needs it!)  He turned and said to me, "Mama, calm down."  OMG- i tried so hard not to laugh but then had to call Dave at work and bust a gut b/c it was too funny to have my 2 year old tell me to calm down!  The second one was when he walked into the room and said to me and Dave, "what the hell is going on in here?"  I looked at Dave and then laughed so hard I cried!  Thankfully he has not repeated either phrase - just one time each despite the uncontrollable laughter that followed each pronouncement. A few weeks into March he learned a new one -  I asked him to do something and he told me I had to "hold on a minute."  His two news things this month (April) are "Oh, I get it" and "Oh my goodness"!  What's even funnier is that not only does he listen, absorb and repeat everything we say - but he uses the same tone!

This week (Thursday) when I was working from home I had two early morning phone calls.  Whenever I'm on the phone I ask him to be quiet, of course.  So after I got off the second call he turns to me and Kira and says "ok, now please be quiet, Cole has to make a phone call."  He then proceeds to pick up his walkie-talkie (attached to his ride-on fire truck) and holds it up to his ear.  "Hello?...hi...I'm in the basement...just playing...yes...ok, I'll talk to you later...bye."  It was HYSTERICAL!  He paused as if he was having a real conversation and someone on the other end was listening...and I love how he went Hello? and then Hi like I do...too funny how much he mimics us!

Pooping!

Today Cole pooped in the toilet for the first time!!!  I arrived home from work to find Delia, Kira and Cole sitting on the front steps waiting for me.  Cole was licking a ginormous lollipop (he's never had one before) and had green and purple all over his face.  Delia immediately noticed my dismayed look (WHAT WAS SHE THINKING?!?? was running through my head) and told Cole to run over and tell me his good news.  "Mama, mama!  I pooped in the toilet today and got a lollipop!"  Interesting...I was planning on doing the naked boy method when the weather got warm enough, but I guess she decided to jump start the process with bribery...I'm still not sure how I feel about that.  Picture to come....(of the lollipop, not the poop!)

What was hysterical though was tonight when I put Cole to bed he said "mama, i need to poop again - can i go to the toilet?"  and I said, "Cole, you never poop at night.  Why do you need to poop?"  And he said, "because I want a lollipop!"  And then goes "look, I'm trying" - and started making a face and grunting like he was pushing!  I doubled over in laughter!  I've never seen him do that before.  He always goes to the bathroom to "hide" while he's pooping and does it very quietly.  Where did he learn to grunt like that?!  I'm thinking this whole lollipop/bribery thing isn't the greatest idea.  The poor kids going to get hemorrhoids so he can suck on lollipops whenever he wants!  Ha, ha!

Kira is now mobile!

Aside from her calculated rolls from side to side to get where she
wants... Kira is now crawling as of two days ago!! It started out as
a pretty funny hand toe crawl hop drag shuffle thing, but has already
progressed quite quickly to a more efficient somewhat crawling
motion. :-)

Double bath time!

Here's our trial run with both kids in the big bath tub. Cole was so
excited that Kira was big enough to go in the tub with him, so that
was good. They both had a grand ol' time, though I think Cole may have
felt a little confined. Kira could splash to her little hearts
content! :-)
